The Ed-Way project is an Erasmus + project, led by CIDET in Spain, which started in September 2015.  DCU ILP are delighted to be working on this project with our partners CIDET in Castellon, GIE in Romania and ILI from the University of Erlangen in Germany.

At our first meeting in Spain, we talked about the background to the project, which is very relevant to the work of the ILP.  The aim of the Ed-Way project is to facilitate the recognition and use of informal and non-formal learning through the use of technology, throughout life, and no matter where we are (“on the go”)  thanks to new mobile technology.   To do so, we are developing a website as well as a paper-based manual for trainers and educational facilitators, to help them make the most of available technologies in order to encourage, foster and leverage informal learning in terms of competencies, skills, qualifications and values.

All the partners have a wide experience of teaching and learning in formal or informal settings, and we will use the experiences of our tutors, learners and staff to share reflections and  best practice, through stories, videos and lessons.

Our first meeting in Spain in March was followed by several virtual meetings.
